Birria Yaki Onigiri

I visited Japan a few years back and fell in love with their bodega food culture. I also became obsessed with onigiri as it became my constant snack throughout my visit. One of my favorite memories was scarfing down multiple onigiri on the bullet train through the Japanese countryside. Not too long ago I had yaki onigiri at Kisser, one of my favorite restaurants in Nashville. This inspired me to combine my love for birria and for that onigiri I’ve never stopped thinking about.
