Queso is Spanish for cheese. Simple. Don’t try telling Texans and Nashvillians that, though. Queso to them is liquid gold, a cheese-ish dip that they pour over chips and anything else they possibly can. When I first moved to Nashville, I hated queso. Everything about it made me grumpy. But as time went on, I softened and realized what it meant to some folks. It was a beloved snack and topping. Heck, there is a self-proclaimed Queso Queen in town (Hi, Delia Jo)!
