That famous chocolate orange in a box started life almost a century ago as an apple! Thank goodness it was changed to an orange; a much better combination. Do use orange chocolate in the cake, if you want; it works well here, though I prefer the orange zest. The cake is so moist that it keeps well for a few days and freezes brilliantly. Just make a batch, cut into cubes and drizzle with chocolate as you need. You can buy liquid glucose in the baking department of supermarkets.
