One of the rituals Kishore Mama still observes is sending food up to the elders on the anniversary of their death. Pappa did this for my great grandfather Karamsi and now Mama carries on the tradition. The food is always this seero because that was his favourite. We leave it in the garden for the birds and animals to take to him.
