Every year on Boxing Day we have friends over to our house. One year I made these brownies and I gave the children a puzzle. I gave them the numbers 200, 200, 200, 3 and 50. If they could match the numbers with ingredients then they could eat the brownies. It took them a couple of hours but they got there in the end.

Ingredients

  • 200 g unsalted butter
  • 200 g dark chocolate

Method

Pop the oven on to 180°C (160°C fan) and grease your cake tin. Melt the butter and chocolate in a heatproof bowl. I do this in 30 second bursts in the microwave but you can also put the bowl over a pan of simmering water. Set aside to cool.
