Here the addition of luxurious figs and some Indian spicing lifts the classic meatloaf recipe out of the everyday into more special territory, especially when you dig in to discover the hidden eggs within. It is lovely served as a cold sliced picnic loaf with some fig chutney and salad leaves/greens, but could also work for dinner alongside some mash and seasonal vegetables with a rich gravy.
