Farina Gruel


  • 2 cups boiling water.
  • 1 tablespoon farina.
  • Cold water.
  • 1 cup milk.
  • 1 egg.
  • ½ teaspoon salt.


Mix farina with enough cold water to form a thin paste. Add to boiling water and boil thirty minutes; then add milk and reheat. Beat egg, add to gruel, season, and serve.
