  • About

  • 2 tablespoons Indian meal.
  • 1 tablespoon flour.
  • ½ teaspoon salt.
  • Cold water.
  • 3 cups boiling water.
  • Milk or cream.

Mix meal, flour, and salt; add cold water to make a thin paste. Add to boiling water, and boil gently one hour. Dilute with milk or cream. A richer gruel may be made by using milk instead of water, and cooking three hours in double boiler.
