Rock your gathering with this drink and you will definitely not be disappointed. This is a super-fun drink for anyone who appreciates a great margarita and a nice kick of spice. It’s a party in a glass—a festive blend of salt, spice, fresh lime juice, orange bitters, and, of course, our trusted tequila. Because chile peppers vary so much in heat level, take it slow and add the serrano a bit at a time. Better yet, taste the chile first to test the heat before you get your butt kicked from overspicing!

  • Lime wedge
  • Paprika Salt
  • Ice
  • 1 ½ ounces tequila
  • 1 ½ ounces fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce Simple Syrup
  • A few dashes orange bitters
  • ¼ serrano chile, chopped

  1. Rub the rim of an old-fashioned cocktail glass (or other glass of your choice) with the lime wedge.
  2. Put the paprika salt in a small dish and dip the rim of the glass in the paprika salt to lightly coat. Add ice cubes to the glass.
  3. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the tequila, lime juice, simple syrup, bitters, and serrano. Shake vigorously for 20 seconds, then strain into the prepared glass and serve.
