Cultivated for centuries in the Far East and now increasingly available from all over. Choose exotic mushrooms that look plump and firm.

Ingredients

  • 500 g exotic mushrooms
  • (Portobello, button, shitake and King Oyster work best)

Method

Slice Portobello in half, leave button whole, slice shitake in halves and keep King Oysters whole. Skewer on metal skewers. Mix olive oil, mixed dried herbs, salt and freshly ground black pepper in a bowl. Braai exotic mushroom kebabs on direct heat for 4 to 5 minutes per side.
