The “picanha” or rump cap is the most famous and popular piece of meat in any decent Brazilian barbecue. Its fat content, mixed with the salt and cooked over a wood and charcoal barbecue, gives it one of the best tastes you will ever encounter from a piece of beef. And if you go to a Brazilian barbecue and they don’t have picanha, turn around and leave straight away, as certainly it is not an authentic Brazilian barbecue.
