There are many different ways of creating a farofa completa. It is the type of accompaniment that you could easily eat by itself. It is full of nutrients. I truly believe this recipe is one of the most traditional farofa completas you could find in Brazil.
Heat a saucepan over medium heat. Add the oil and the butter. Wait for the butter to melt, add the diced onion and the bacon and cook it until the edges of the onions start to brown up a bit.
Add the garlic, cook it a little longer before adding the cassava flour, the salt and the pepper. With a wooden spoon, keep mixing the flour until it becomes toasty and crispy.
