It’s not used much in most countries around the world, but in Brazil you will find palm heart everywhere you go. It comes from certain types of palm trees, and the most popular one in Brazil is the “palmeira pupunha”. It is extracted from the top end part of the tree. It goes really well with chicken dishes.
Cut the palm heart into rings of about ¼ in (5 mm) thickness. Place it in a bowl and mix all the other ingredients together except the crunchy garlic. Mix carefully so you don’t break the palm hearts too much.
Put on a serving tray, and spread the crunchy garlic on top. Or if you like you can serve individual little bowls to your guests.
