This is a basic recipe for French toast. Day-old bread is best since it won’t disintegrate after soaking.

  • ¾ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

  1. Using a whisk or immersion blender, beat the eggs, milk, and vanilla together in a bowl. Pour into a shallow bowl. Add the bread and soak both sides until all of the milk mixture is absorbed.
