Crumbles are usually associated with apples and rhubarb, but you can easily vary the fruit. Add some dried fruits in winter and scatter in berry fruits during the summer. The topping can also be jazzed up by adding oats or nuts.

Ingredients

  • 6 large ripe pears
  • 25 g (1 oz) unsalted butter
