  • About

A whole suckling pig will weigh up to about 5 kilos, serve 8—10 people and will cook in a relatively short time in a domestic oven. The only problem is that a standard domestic oven will probably not take the whole beast, so you may need to chop it in half. Domestic ovens are increasing in size, though, and keen cooks like to get an oven close to the size we use in restaurants, so if you have one, there’s no problem squeezing the little beast in.
