The white pudding as we know it in Britain bears little or no relationship to black pudding; it contains no blood, with oatmeal being the only connection. It is also known traditionally as ‘mealie pudding’. Its basic ingredients are oatmeal, beef suet and onions. Not the most exciting of inventions.
