Coffee and chocolate were introduced at about the same time to Britain, and coffee in particular became a passion, with coffee houses opening all over London (actually the origin of many of the present-day London men’s clubs). Both white chocolate and ice-cream are much later inventions, but the combination is one that works so well, with the infusion of the fresh coffee beans working behind the white chocolate.
