Ingredients: 4 oz. bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped; ½ cup granulated sugar; 1 tbsp. unsalted butter; 9 oz. cream cheese, softened to room temperature; 2 oz. semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped; ¼ tsp. salt; ½ tsp. baking powder; 3 tbsp. unsalted butter, softened to room temperature; ½ cup unbleached, all-purpose flour; 2 large eggs, lightly beaten; 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract

Ingredients

Brownie Base

4 oz. bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
3 tbsp. unsalted butter, softened to room temperature

Method

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease and flour a 9" square pan, being sure to tap out excess flour.

Melt the chocolate in a double boiler set over simmering water. Stir often, over low heat, until melted and smooth.
