Chubby Cheesecake Brownies

Name: Chubby Cheesecake Brownies
Yield: Makes about 2 dozen.
Ingredients: 9 oz. cream cheese, softened to room temperature; ¼ tsp. salt; 1 tbsp. unsalted butter; ½ cup unbleached, all-purpose flour; 2 oz. semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped; ½ cup granulated sugar; 3 tbsp. unsalted butter, softened to room temperature; 4 oz. bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped; 2 large eggs, lightly beaten; ½ tsp. baking powder; 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract

Ingredients

Brownie Base

4 oz. bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
3 tbsp. unsalted butter, softened to room temperature

Dessert
Vegetarian

Method

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease and flour a 9" square pan, being sure to tap out excess flour.

For the Brownie Base

Melt the chocolate in a double boiler set over simmering water. Stir often, over low heat, until melted and smooth.

Remove top of double boiler from heat, and carefully wipe bottom (so none of the moisture steams up in
