Ingredients: ¾ cup unsalted butter; ½ cup firmly packed light brown sugar; ⅔ cup granulated sugar; 1 tsp. finely grated orange zest; 1 large egg, lightly beaten; 2 cups unbleached, all-purpose flour; 1 tsp. Grand Marnier; ¼ tsp. salt; ½ tsp. baking powder; 6 oz. semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped

Hey, these are perfect for those blonde moments! (Oh yeah—even we nonblondes have them.) A deep, rich, butterscotch-flavored brownie with chocolate chunks . . . yum!

Ingredients

Brownie Base

¾ cup unsalted butter
⅔ cup granulated sugar
½

Vegetarian

Method

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9" square pan.

For the Brownie Base

Combine the butter and sugars in a double boiler set over simmering water. Stir often, over low heat, until butter is melted and mixture is smooth.

Remove top of double boiler from heat, and carefully wipe bottom (so none of the moisture steams up into the mixture
