Another variation on the chile pepper and chocolate theme, these moist chocolaty brownies are warmed by the addition of cinnamon and chili powder.

Ingredients

Brownie Base

  • Cocoa powder, sifted
  • 8 oz. unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • ¾ cup unsalted but

Method

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 13x9" baking pan. Dust pan with some cocoa powder, shaking out excess.

For the Brownie Base

Combine the chocolate and butter in a double boiler set over simmering water. Stir often, over low heat, until mixture is melted and smooth.
