This is one of my favorite ways to add instant flavor and some crunch to my brownies.
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and lightly flour bottom only of an 8" square pan.
Melt the butter and chocolate in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove saucepan from heat; cool slightly.
With a large spoon, blend in sugar and vanilla. Blend in eggs. Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt
