Cupcakes are everyone’s favorite treat—young and old alike—and they often get overlooked in our haste to make something quick and easy. Slow down a few seconds and bake these tempting brownies in cupcake form. And top them with this maple frosting. Yum!

Ingredients

Brownie Base

  • 4 oz. unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • cup unsalted butter
  • 2

Method

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line 16 muffin cups with cupcake liners.

For the Brownie Base

Melt the chocolate and butter in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring to blend.

Remove saucepan from heat. Whisk in sugar, eggs, and maple.

Stir in flour, baking powder, salt, and nuts. Spoon about ⅓ cup batter into each cupcake liner.
