I love to make this for dinner guests because it’s relatively easy and looks (and tastes) divine. Having one of the caramel sauces on hand in the refrigerator makes for a quick and easy drizzle.

Ingredients

Brownie Base

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped

Method

Heat oven to 325 degrees. Line a 9" round cake pan with foil; lightly and gently grease foil.

For the Brownie Base

Melt the butter and chocolate in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove saucepan from heat; cool slightly.
