This is a terrific, easy-to-make dessert with those extra-special touches that make it perfect for entertaining (either yourself or others!). I like to serve it with an assortment of fresh berries or sliced peaches on the individual plates. It always “wows” them in my chocolate classes!

Ingredients

Brownie Base

  • Cocoa powder, sifted, for coating pan
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • cups

Method

Heat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly grease a 10" springform pan, then coat with a few sprinkles cocoa powder, tapping out excess.

For the Brownie Base

In a large bowl of an electric mixer, beat the butter and sugar on medium-high speed until light and fluffy. Blend in syrup on medium speed. Add eggs, mixing gently to blend well.
