  • About

This concoction of mine is reminiscent of “fudgesicles” from my neighborhood ice-cream truck. It makes for an interesting flavor combination with any of my intensely chocolaty brownies.

Ingredients

Ice Base

  • ¾ cup superfine sugar
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted

Method

For the Ice Base

In a medium bowl, whisk together the sugar and cocoa powder. Whisking vigorously, blend in the half-and-half, milk, and vanilla until smooth and well combined.

Freeze mixture in an ice-cream maker according to manufacturer’s directions. Scrape ice into a container and freeze, covered, until ready to enjoy.
