Imagine a dessert plate with a soft, butterscotch pear and a tantalizingly sweet brownie . . . a great way to have your fruit and your chocolate too!
In a large sauté pan, combine the sugars, molasses, vanilla, cream, and butter. Stir over medium heat until mixture is smooth and well blended. Bring mixture to a boil.
Boil mixture for 4 minutes, whisking constantly. Reduce heat to a simmer.
