Now this is my kind of sauce . . . chocolate, unsalted butter, cream, and toasted walnuts. I like to serve a small square of my Atomic Brownie with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream, a drizzle of this sauce, and a few fresh strawberries on the side (if they’re in season). Let your imagination be your guide.

Ingredients

Sauce Base

  • 5 oz. bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 1 tbsp. unsalted butter, softened to room temperature

Method

For the Sauce Base

Melt the chocolate and butter in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring until mixture is blended and smooth.

Remove saucepan from heat. Stir in sugars and cream. Return to heat and cook, stirring often, over medium-low heat until sauce is smooth and silky and mixture is well combined.
