Imagine having a dessert named after you. Pavlova is named after the Russian ballerina, Anna Pavlova. Traditionally, it consists of a crisp meringue topped with cream and fruit. I’ve played with my food here—and created a brownie and Pavlova combo that would make any ballerina dance the nutcracker “sweet”!

Ingredients

Brownie Base

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • cup granulated sugar
  • ¼

Method

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease two 8" round cake pans with straight sides, and line with parchment paper.

For the Brownie Base

Melt the butter in a medium saucepan.

Remove saucepan from heat. Whisk in sugar and cocoa powder to blend.
