Whenever I make this frosting for chocolate brownies, it elicits the “oh, I love peanut butter and chocolate—can’t wait to taste it!” response.
In a medium bowl with an electric mixer, beat the peanut butter and butter on medium-high speed until creamy.
Mix in sugar, vanilla, salt, and 3 tbsp. milk, beating on medium speed until mixture is smooth and fluffy. Stop often to scrape bowl and beaters. Add more milk as desired to make mixture spreadable.
