Add both the sugars and 250ml (9fl oz) of the filtered water to a small pan. Bring to the boil and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat and allow to cool. Once cooled, refrigerate until cold.
Put the chilled syrup, lemon juice and the remaining water into a 3-litre (5-pint) jar, close the lid and shake.
Transfer into 1-litre (35fl oz) soda bottles and refrige
