  • About

You can use a couple of smoked haddock fillets (undyed, not the bright yellow variety) instead of Arbroath smokies, but it won’t be quite as special. If you can get smokies you should definitely search them out.

Ingredients

  • 375 g all-butter puff pastry
  • 1 pair Arbroath smokies
  • 200 ml

Method

Preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C fan).

Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface so it’s large enough to fit the tart tin with an overlap of about 2cm over the edges. Gently ease the pastry into the tart tin, then line with a sheet of greaseproof pape
