These are always on the counter at Cambo and we can hardly keep up with demand. This is my basic sultana scone recipe. Once you’ve mastered it, it’s so easy to adapt with other fruit, or try the savoury cheese version.

Ingredients

  • 450 g self-raising flour
  • 80 g salted butter, cubed

Method

Preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C fan).

With your fingertips, rub the flour with the butter until it looks like coarse breadcrumbs. Stir in the sultanas and sugar. In a jug, mix the yoghurt and milk with a fork. Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients and
