Do you sometimes forget about city ham? Living in a part of the United States where country ham rules all, I often did, and then suddenly I couldn’t stop thinking about ham loaf made with regular old city ham (or the very good kind we used to get from Pennsylvania every Christmas). It’s true comfort food: a little sweet and a little salty, with familiar flavors, easy to pull together at the end of the day, and even easier to serve.
