An economical dish, which can also be served with dhal curry.
Soak bread in water for 5 minutes, then squeeze out all moisture. Add to fish with remaining ingredients, except oil, and mix to bind well. Shape into patties and shallow-fry in medium-hot oil for about 5 minutes on each side, or until lightly browned. Serve hot with white rice, blatjang or mushroom, tomato and pepper sauce.
