A very festive sweet rice to serve with bobotie, sosaties or denningvleis.
Bring water to boil. Add rice, cinnamon, cardamom, turmeric and salt, and cook, uncovered, until quite soft, about 20 minutes. Drain in a colander and rinse with hot water.
