Chicken braised in beer is delicious. The beer gives it a slightly sweet taste and a unique flavour. The tobacco onions are extremely moreish, too. As well as being great with this dish, they also work well as a side dish for burgers. I could eat them all day long!

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken legs
  • 2 tbsp plain (all-purpose) flour
  • 2 tbsp

Method

Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F/Gas 5).

Season the chicken legs with salt and pepper, then dip them in the flour.

Put the oil and butter in a lidded flameproof and ovenproof casserole dish (Dutch oven) over a medium heat. When they are hot, add the chicken legs and fry
