These are a close cousin of shao mai (pork dumplings). They have much the same ingredients but are fried rather than steamed. Crisp on the outside, with a tender filling, it may be an idea to make double the quantity.

Ingredients

  • 300 g/11 oz/ cups minced/ground pork

Method

  1. Put the pork in a bowl. Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, ground black pepper and cornflour. Mix well.
  2. Place about 5 ml/1 tsp of the mixture in the centre of a wonton wrapp
