Blade-shaped bamboo leaves make versatile wrappers and also impart a pleasant flavour to whatever food you wrap in them. Although they are usually used to wrap individual dumplings – traditionally for the dumpling festival in China – they can be overlapped in a container to wrap a larger amount, such as the rice and stuffing in this recipe. When the leaves are opened at the table, the lovely aromas are released.
