For an unusual variation of Pearl Balls, roll the meat balls in spicy Rice Crumbs and steam them as below.




  1. Roll the meat balls in the presoaked glutinous rice.

  2. Make sure they are thoroughly coated.

  3. Put them in a bamboo steamer lined with cheesecloth and steam them for 30 minutes. Cut one open to be sure they are done.

  • May be prepared several hours in advance and reheated by steaming.
  • Suggested Beverage: Pinot Noir or Burgundy
