Fill your steamer with the water and place the dish of rice inside it. Cover and cook the rice for 20-22 minutes over high heat, ensuring there is enough water in the steamer, then turn the heat off and allow the rice to stand, covered, for 10 minutes. Do not remove the lid at this point to peek in or you’ll allow the precious steam to escape.
