Method

  1. Trim off the black surface of the ham: Soak the ham with hot water about ½ hour, then wash it. Put the ham in a plate. Steam for about ½ hour.
  2. Cut the ham crosswise into 1” wide by 2” long, thin slices. Arrange the ham slices attractively on the bottom of a bowl or deep plate. Put the odd sized pieces in the center. Add half of crystal sugar, wine and hot water
