One of the very best cookies, short, crisp and deliciously flavoured. The dough is rolled, chilled then sliced very thinly to bake.

Sift the flour, bicarbonate of soda and cocoa together and set it aside. Cream the butter with both sugars until light and fluffy and then gradually stir in the egg. Fold in the flour and the chopped nuts. Use lightly floured hands to roll the dough into a sausage shape
