This will keep well in the fridge for up to 4 days. It will firm up so you will need to bring it to room temperature before using - or you can heat it gently - don’t forget to stir all the time while you do this. Goes wonderfully with any dark chocolate desserts especially chocolate ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 100 ml/ fl oz single cream
  • 170 g/6

Method

In a saucepan bring the cream to the boil and add the chocolate and butter. Remove from heat and stir until smooth. Add the Amaretto and stir until throughly incorporated. You can serve warm or when the sauce has cooled to room temperature.
