This is probably one of the most used and tested recipes in the world. It’s so easy and you can vary the ingredients according to what you have in the store cupboard. My last dated copy is circa 1985 - source unknown. This is a great recipe for using any bits of leftover fruit, nuts, cocoa, chocolate, cake, all manner of bread/biscuit crumbs - if you use bread or even brioche crumbs they should be toasted.
