I adore the combination of chocolate and lemon especially with this pudding. The lemon makes a refreshing contrast to the dense chocolate; when you cut into this one you will see why. It is not for the faint hearted.

Method

To make the steamed sponge

Butter and flour a 1.2 litre/2 pint pudding basin. Boil the kettle.
