Traditionally offered at breakfast or brunch warm from the oven, these wonderful pizzettas are delicious to munch on any time of day. Enjoy them as a mid-afternoon treat with hummus or in the evening with a warm cup of your favorite tea. Pack them along for a snack on a hike or any outdoor activity; they are heat-resistant for several hours.

Specialty Ingredients

  • Zahtar, sumak, and dibs ruman, found at specialty markets or online.

    Prepare Ahead

The topping can be prepared several days in advance and stored in the refrigerator. The baked pizzettas can be frozen for several weeks. Freeze them on a plastic-lined baking sheet, then transfer to an airtight container. Reheat thawed pastries for 3 to 5 minutes at 350°F.
