This flavorful combination of jalapeño, cilantro, garlic, tomatoes, and fresh lemon juice accompanies several dishes. Offer it with Cardamom Chicken with Rice or with your favorite fish recipe. Once you try the salsa, you will find many other ways to use it.


For the Salsa

  • 1 large clove garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups diced tomato (¼ inch), firm red tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon minced jalapeños; remove ribs and seeds
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ¼ cup finely chopped cilantro; use green leafy parts and tender stems


    Prepare Ahead

    The salsa can be prepared up to 1 day in advance. Refrigerate covered.
