Salade de crabe, avocat et pamplemousse

I’ve lived in England for over 30 years now and much as I love it here, there’s nothing the English can do about their weather, particularly when compared to my home town; I still miss the warmth and sunshine of Gascony, where meals are so often enjoyed outdoors. This simple salad is one for the summer. The grapefruit brings colour and a fresh flavour but it also provides the acidity you need in a dressing without having to use vinegar.
