The Italians love their ice cream. In fact, they could be considered responsible for its arrival (via the French) in the United States. Every village in Italy has its gelateria, where locals line up for gelato, granita, sorbetto or semifreddo.
This is a simple but rich ice cream, intense with dark-roasted coffee bean flavor that is infused into the cream.
